I’ve been taking the capsules fairly regularly since starting the study and I have to say I do feel like I have been calmer and more resilient to stress recently. It will be interesting to see if I was to continue would I feel like that all year, but so far so good! I haven’t noticed any negative side effects which is really important to me - especially as someone who finds it tough to take some supplement due to a sensitive belly.

Since swapping to taking both tablets to the evening I have noticed that my sleep seems to be deeper and less disturbed by any street noise etc

Hi

coming to the end of my calm capsules and I have to say, I will miss them! I have felt calmer than usual and have slept better. Just have to see if I feel worse for not taking them. Would definitely recommend taking them.

😀

One week of capsules to go, and I do think that they are making some difference.

I don't feel sleepy earlier, or necessarily get to sleep any more quickly, but once I am asleep I'm sleeping like a log, which I hadn't fully realised that I haven't done for years. It's one of those things - when something has been going on for long enough you don't really register it, or at least I don't seem to - but now it feel as though there is a change, I am seeing the difference.

I completely missed an early call on my landline yesterday morning (not a problem, they left a message) but even though the phone is in the next room I cannot remember that ever happening before, and I've been in this flat for seven years with the same layout. There's been times when I haven't got to the phone to pick up, but I've never been completely unaware.

I switched the timing of when I took these capsules about two weeks in . I initially took them every morning but didn’t notice any difference .
Since taking them in the evening I have found it a little easier to fall asleep at night .

At the end of taking the calm capsules now and I have to say I have really enjoyed being part of this group and connecting with you women❤️ it’s been so nice to be part of something that feels like a real step forward in, not only taking my own health more seriously, but also being part of helping the younger generation coming after us and cutting out the noise of ALL THESE BLOODY PRODUCTS popping up on my feed!!😭😂 - the product itself I’ll be honest I didn’t notice a whole lot of change but I also am partly to blame for that as I have went through a hormonal shift this month that didn’t really allow me to give it a fair shot - but I love that there’s brands out there willing to put their product forward to be part of this type of study for us - thank you everyone for being part of this journey with me!❤️

Approaching the last few days of the trial, and I have just completed my final survey. I managed to cut myself off in the middle of the "what would you tell other women" so I thought I'd continue that here.

Do your own research (looking for reliable sources like THOH, Davina McCall, The Mayo Clinic and The (American) Menopause Society) because, sadly, unless you are really lucky your GP will know little (and will talk a lot about"age" "it's normal" and "it get's easier on it's own") and even when you've finally persuaded them to get you an appointment with the area menopause/HRT specialist clinic, you will not necessarily find expertise or helpful advice. (The male registrar I saw wouldn't shut up about libido, even after being told several times it was not a concern, gave me the most painful internal exam I've ever had in my entire life, which is saying a lot, and sent me onto the "female menopause specialist" who informed me that testosterone is not a hormone, and that taking it would definitely result in male pattern baldness - I didn't tell her that that would be a surprise to all the trans men with a full head of hair ) but you need to go through this to get an HRT prescription.

Also, beware of the ads which will come up on social media etc on all sites aware of your date of birth - the NHS training may not have quite caught up with the needs of the majority gender, but the dubious money makers certainly know an opportunity when they see it.

The good news is that there are reliable excellent and helpful products which have been fully and suitably tested. There is knowledge which can help you to get at least some of the products from the NHS, and once you have them use your own research and trialing to see what works for you.

Perhaps one day we'll have all of our hormone, vitamin and mineral levels tested (including testosterone!) in our early 30s, so that we can say what our personal normal amounts are, and have a chance of getting products to keep those levels going.

I wish that THOH had existed 25 and more years ago, but I am so grateful that it is here now, introducing new products and giving us all a chance to be taken seriously and help each other.

The Calm Capsules have really helped me to achieve truly restful sleep for the first time in years, and I look forward to reading the thoughts of my fellow testers at the end of this trial.

I have finished taking all the capsules I received for the trial.

Although I haven't noticed any big changes from the capsules, I think that by making an effort in taking them every day and making a habit out of it, I felt that I was taking more care of myself.

I enjoyed taking part of this study on this occasion, and it definitely made me more aware of my health and my well-being.

Since finishing my Calm capsules a week ago and restarting my normal perimenopause supplement, I've noticed I'm more irritable and I'm waking up during the night.

I'm definitely not sleeping as deeply since I stopped taking the capsules, so I think that I'm going to have to invest in some as I was taking just magnesium previously, so it's obviously something to do with the combination of ingredients which has the effect.

My irritability has got worse, my mood was much better before taking Calm, so not sure why after finishing them I'm so irrational. I hope my mood returns to normal soon.

@seakay Literally same, I thought magnesium alone would do the job but nope. The blend clearly does something extra.
