@pcsowife Have you received the first survey - should have arrived by email 1st June so you could do it at the start of the study?
If not, you should probably contact THOH inHouse Studies Team at info@thehouseofhormones.com
Mine finally arrived yesterday so I'm a week behind everyone else, but really pleased to try them. I've been taking a menopause vitamin supplement, but none of the herbal ingredients or biotics so I'm really keen to see if these help more. I've especially had terrible wind the last few months which I'm putting down to peri, so really really hoping they'll help with that!
Hi All
has anyone been sent the second survey to complete yet? My understanding was we would need to complete a survey each week.
I’ve been taking the supplements daily. Nothing to report benefits wise just yet but it is early days. Xx
I haven't had the second survey yet.
I had three horrific days the first week culminating in an experience I can only liken to that of taking the powders prior to an endoscopy. That's all calmed down now, thank goodness although still rather 'windier' than usual.
I'm hoping for benefits in the longer term!
Hi
The packaging looks good and the contents are in sealed foil packets. Quite impressed with the amount of supplements and the quality. Looking forward to seeing if they make a difference to my menopause symptoms.
😀
I've found the packaging to be a little overdone with the plastic capsule packs in another metallic packaging and then in the box. It all seems overkill and the plastic capsule pack and the metalic packet that they're in can't be recycled. That aside, i've been having some regular diarrhoea/ loose poo and not clear if this is directly associated but can't think why else it would be happening. The best outcome is that I'm sleeping more concurrently without waking perpetually through the night but the length of overall sleep is still short, albeit the early rising sun contributes somewhat to that. Am interested to see if the better quality of sleep continues and if the diarrhoea hopefully ebs. Has anyone else experienced this?
I have been taking these as directed now since the study started and I have noticed that I definitely feel less bloated and my digestion has improved as it is much less unpredictable. I feel more balanced in myself too (i.e. less grumpy).
I like that the capsules are easy to take and are not too big.
When will we be sent the 2nd survey?
@mystical8 The metallic wrapper can be recycled anywhere that accepts crisp packets in the soft plastic collection - Co Op in my area https://www.recyclenow.com/recycle-an-item/crisp-packets#locator - and many Boots stores have collection boxes for blister packs https://bootsrecycling.co.uk/find-out-which-boots-stores-accept-blister-packs-for-recycling/ . They are there as part of an App points collecting scheme, but anyone can use the boxes. I agree about the unnecessary overkill of packaging though - blister packs plus sealed wrapper plus moisture trap sachet plus box!
@seakay Thx for sharing - that's good to know, so I can check it out locally.
I’ve not received the second survey yet.
As of yet, I have seen no changes since taking the supplements, but I am hoping they have some impact on my peri-menopause symptoms. However, knowing that it can take at least 3 months to see any improvement, I’m surprised that we weren't supplied with a 3-month supply so that we could actually reach the benchmark needed to see results. Nevertheless, I am committed to the process and will keep going with them to give them a fair chance.
