I’ve just finished my first cup of cacao. Delicious smell, but first sip was very bitter, so I’m going to experiment with different ways to sweeten the taste - any recommendations?
It did take a while for it to melt a smooth into paste while adding plant milk, but got there eventually - excited to see how this might help boost my energy levels over this very busy month!
Excited to be part of this study. I would normally have this type of drink in the evening but as it’s to help with energy levels should I be taking this first thing in the morning ?
Hello everyone, the Cacao is absolutely delicious and so relaxing. Glad to be part of this study.
I can't complete the starting survey - the link doesn't work for me (tried a few times Monday and Tuesday), can anyone help?
hi I am not getting anymore emails about it.
I have melted mine into my porridge with a little sugar - its delicious
Welcoming you all to the Full Power Cacao Tribe! 💚
Hello everyone! We are so excited for you all to be a part of the Full Power Cacao Tribe as you embark on this incredible case study journey with the House of Hormones!
We are truly excited to follow your progress, read your insights, and gather your feedback on the results you experience over this coming month!
We’ve already seen a few great questions pop up, so we wanted to share a quick guide to cover the most common topics for those just starting out with ceremonial grade Cacao:
1. Dealing with the Bitterness (It's Pure!)
If your first sip was a little bitter, that’s a great sign—it confirms you are drinking 100% pure, ceremonial grade Cacao! Experimenting with flavour is key to finding your perfect ritual.
Sweeten It: Try a natural sweetener like honey, agave, maple syrup, or coconut sugar.
Spice It Up: A pinch of cinnamon, cayenne pepper, or ginger can lift the flavour beautifully.
The Liquid: We recommend using a plant-based milk (like oat milk) or water—it works perfectly with whatever you enjoy!
2. When to Drink & How Much?
This is all about listening to your body, but here is a simple guide:
Daily Dose: Our general recommendation when asked is up to 50g to 60g per day if you wanted to have that much. A ceremonial dose is often 50g when used in a ceremony. It really is about listening to your body and if it needs more
Morning/Daytime: Perfect for focus and sustained energy without the jitters of coffee.
Evening: Many customers enjoy Cacao at night for connection and relaxation. If you do, we would recommend a lower dose of 10g–12g to ensure it doesn't interrupt your sleep due to the Theobromine.
Hydration is Key: Cacao is a diuretic, so remember to drink plenty of water throughout your day too!
3. Quick Tip for a Smooth Drink
To avoid clumps and get that smooth, rich texture:
The Paste Method: Mix your Cacao pieces with just a tiny splash of hot liquid (milk or water) first. Whisk vigorously until it forms a smooth paste, then slowly add the rest of your liquid.

Is anyone else bothered by individually wrapped daily doses? I hate the waste 🙁 One cardboard box with the tablets and suggested daily intake would have been enough?? Just a thought.
Besides that, I'm really enjoying having this delicacy in my daily routine.
@_lamaga I actually felt the same way at first, the individually wrapped doses threw me off because I’m trying to cut down on waste too, so I totally get where you’re coming from. But once I started using them daily, I weirdly ended up appreciating the convenience especially on those mornings when my hormones are doing their own thing.
I was concerned about the packaging as well.
I would like the product grated in a tub so that I can measure out what I want, especially as the measured amount is not necessarily what is recommended on every occasion.
I noticed that there is a recycling symbol, but no indication of which category it can be recycled in (I'm guessing soft plastics via a supermarket collection point, but I suppose it could be foil?). I have emailed Full Power Cacao and I'll report back if I get an answer.
Hi everyone
Thank you for this exciting opportunity to trial this amazing product. I was delighted to open my box to find all the beautifully designed packets of chocolate waiting for me to indulge.
I have to say, the chocolate is rich and delicious with plant milk and a sprinkling of cinnamon. I drank it whilst reading in the evening and felt quite focused on what I was reading, whether this was causal or coincidence I’m not sure but I’m looking forward to seeing if it helps me focus more.
Happy days 🤩
I had a cup of cacao with locally sourced honey yesterday, delicious! I didn't use as much milk as I did in previous drinks. I find making it in a pan a bit of a faff.
Is it suitable for children?
Hi everyone!
So excited to be part of this and try out this gorgeous product. Opening the box honestly felt like such a treat the packaging is so lovely and all those little cacao packets looked almost too pretty to use.
I made my first cup with warm plant milk and it was so rich and delicious. I sipped it while I was journaling and I actually felt really calm and grounded the whole time. I don’t know if it was the cacao or just the moment but it definitely helped me settle into myself in a way I haven’t felt in a while.
Can’t wait to see how it supports me over the next few weeks.
@angela Omg this sounds so dreamy! 😍 I felt the same opening mine the packaging is gorgeous and it really does feel like a little ritual just for yourself. Love that you paired it with journaling too… that warm, calm, grounded feeling is exactly what I’m hoping to get from it as well. Can’t wait to see how it supports you over the next few weeks!
@kat75 That sounds amazing! I love the idea of adding a little cinnamon, I might have to try that. And it’s so interesting you felt more focused while reading… even if it was coincidence, it’s such a nice feeling to settle in like that. Can’t wait to hear how it goes for you over the next few days!
