@rosh I need to start adding some spice I think - love chai
Used for two weeks and noticed the following. More energy and focus.
also craving less sugar which is a big plus.
having my cocoa in my porridge some mornings and it’s delish.
I have been having my cacao just before bed - mixed with a little cows milk and honey to make a paste and then eating it with a spoon .
I have found this a very relaxing ritual .
✨ Mid-Month HOH Cacao Tribe Check-In 💚 ✨
We’re officially in the heart 💚 of our 31-day cacao journey — that point where the habit becomes a conversation with yourself.
We would love to hear how everyone’s feeling so far.
A few prompts to open the conversation circle:
• What subtle (or not-so-subtle) shifts have you noticed?
• What emotions are bubbling up lately?
• Any new rituals appearing on their own?
• Are you drinking it the same way each day or letting intuition guide you?
To keep the month feeling fresh, here are three optional mini-rituals you can choose from this week. Each takes just a few minutes — perfect for busy mornings or gentle evenings.
🔥 Ritual 1: “Melt & Release” — emotional reset
Hold your warm cup between your hands.
Deep breath in… slow exhale out.
Let anything heavy melt into the warmth.
Whisper:
“I release what weighs me down. I receive what lifts me.”Sip with intention.
Ideal for cluttered minds, full hearts, or days that feel like too many tabs open at once.
✨ Ritual 2: “The Alignment Sip” — clarity calling
Hand on chest. Ask:
“What do I need more of today?”Let the first sip be a yes to that quality.
Imagine that feeling dropping into your body sip by sip.
Seal with:
“Today, I move with ___.”
Tiny ritual, big directional energy.
🌿 Ritual 3: “The Anchor Breath” — for anxious moments
This one is like giving your nervous system a weighted blanket.
Before you drink, gently place your palm at the base of your ribcage — the place your breath begins.
Take four slow breaths, matching your inhale and exhale lengths.
(No forcing. Just soft, steady waves.)As you hold your cup, imagine its warmth moving down your body, loosening anything tight or jittery.
On your first sip, silently say:
“I am here. I am safe. I soften.”Let each sip feel like a small grounding stone dropping into a still pond.
Perfect when your mind is racing, your chest is fluttery, or you feel stretched thin.
If you feel called to try any of these, please do share your experiences with the group — weird, wonderful or somewhere in between, Anything goes! 🙌

Manuka honey and cinnamon is the best combination for me in the cacao drink. I never thought of only having one piece, maybe it won’t be as strong.
it’s a great feeling knowing you’re drinking something with benefits and the way it was intended to drink originally. However, as I have a sweet tooth I have to have some sweetness added.
I also think that maybe it would’ve been more convenient as a powder for busy moments on the go.
😁🍫☕️
Hello everyone👋
I enjoy mine with cinnamon and 200ml of milk so it’s a nice rich flavour. My first experience of Cacao was about 25 years ago from a well known high street health store, I really disliked it and don’t think I have had it since!
But I find this really delicious and look forward to it every day.
I have noticed some days it seems to make me feel happier, more positive and in a better mood. I am enjoying taking part in this study thank you 😊
I'm loving this drink 2, maybe 3 times per week. I do it on the days I know I have a bit of time for myself in the morning. I don't know if I could make it a daily habit. I do find it a bit strong in my stomach. Does anyone else feel the same?
So, after quite a bit of experimenting the variation which works best for me is:
I use my Ikea green soup cup, which holds about 350 ml liquid
I chop up the portion of cacao quite finely before adding it to the cup with a scant pinch of Himalayan pink salt and half to one flat teaspoon of sweetener ( maple syrup, honey, zylitol) and a big pinch of whatever ground spice I'm in the mood for (cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, allspice)
I prefer mixing in the cup I'm going to drink from to leaving a certain amount of the cacao in the saucepan.
(I'm surprised by how little sweetener I need after adding the salt, I do like dark chocolate but can't eat 100% unsweetened)
I heat the liquid (for me a combination of water, almond and soya milk in varying proportions according to what I fancy, or sometimes I use just water, but I always add a splash of oat barista at the end) until it is hot but not boiling, then pour about a third into the cup and whisk with my mini milk frother before adding the rest of the liquid.
Relax and sip!
How is everyone getting on with the Cacao? I absolutely love it and will continue taking it if I can. Kx
I tried halving the dose in my evening ritual and added some salted caramel syrup to take away the bitterness. I heated it with oat milk in a pan and kept whisking it until it melted. I have to say it was the smoothest one yet and delicious! It was as nice as a Hotel Chocolat hot chocolate.
I will try adding a pinch of Himalayan salt next time.
x
@rosh I need to try this
