Has anyone tried herbal supplements for perimenopause? I am currently using Wild Nutrition and really rate. I had a month- 2 months of not using them religiously (kept forgetting to take them and not making it a priority) and found that my mood started to slump again. Interestingly my cycle also started to get longer again. Before that I had been using them religiously for about 5 months and my mood was better and my cycles were shorter (around 28 days)! Anyone else found that supplements have helped them? I'd love to hear experiences and anything else that helps with mood regulation

Oh I’ve never heard of supplements affecting the length of your cycle! That’s so interesting! I wonder why? Hopefully someone will come on and tell you! I’ll subscribe to this post so I can see what they say lol 👀 xx

This is so interesting. I haven't used supplements, but organically, my cycles have been decreasing; my current average is 25 days... Reading that one of your side effects from the supplement is precisely that is intriguing! I've been wondering about whether I need to see the doctor about the shorter cycles; a nurse once simply told me, "Worry when they start getting longer",... which kind of makes sense...

I just started taking Schisandra Extract as it was recommended by the author of Next Level. Too soon to say if it's helping or not but I will report back. She recommends several adaptogens but also suggests *not* trying all immediately so you can better see the impact.

I'm on good old cheapo evening primrose oil and kelp at the moment (along with an ever-shifting bunch of supplements I take anyway). Just started them as I'm 41 and my cycle has been unpredictable so I suspect perimenopause.

I've never had low thyroid when tested (but most of my family have thyroid issues) however I always found kelp really helps with dry dull winter skin and I was inspired to get back on it when I recently came across Dr Seaweed's menopause and endo supplements and was reminded that helping out my thyroid function couldn't hurt.

I'm considering Red Clover next as that seems to be recommended a lot.

Going to look up Wild Nutrition (can always use a mood boost) and schisandra, now.

I started taking DITTO in November and it's been brilliant. Gone are the demon days before my period (i am 47), no bloating and no anger!
