Periods after stopping depo injection.

I started the depo injection probably about 8 years ago. My periods completely stopped. It was bliss. I had my last injection July 2024, and it is now Nov 2025. I started my first period about two weeks ago. But I have been bleeding everyday since. It was just spotting early on, then it was heavier, then light, then heavy. It's not consistent. I'm hoping it's not going to be constant bleeding until I start the menopause! Some months I'd get cramps, but no bleeding. Today though, I have cramps. I stopped it, because I was putting on weight, and really couldn't shift it. Will my periods get back into a normal monthly routine? Has anyone else had these kind of symptoms after depo?
